GM Yuniesky Quesada claims Southern Open in Orlando

The 25th Annual Southern Open was held from July 21-23, 2017, at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, 8001 International Drive, Orlando, Florida.

There had five sections: Open, U2100, U1800, U1500 and U1200, and the tournament format was 5-round Swiss with the time control 40/100, SD/30, d10.

Cuban Grandmaster Yuniesky Quesada Perez took a clear first place in the Open Section with 4,5 points to win the top prize of 1800 USD. The total prize fund was $15,000.
