Golden State Open 2015

The 6th Annual Golden State Open will be held over the Martin Luther King weekend from January 16-19, 2015, at the Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton, 6680 Regional St, Dublin, California.

The event has six sections: Open, Under 2200, Under 1900, Under 1600, Under 1300 and Under 1000. The tournament format is 7-round Swiss, 40/110, SD/30, d10.

All sections have either 4-day (January 16-19), 3-day (January 17-19) or 2-day (January 18-19) schedules to play in.

Last year Victor Mikhalevski, Melikset Khachiyan and Michael Roiz shared the first place

The event has a $25,000 guaranteed prize fund.

Open, open to all. $3000-1500-800-600-400, clear or tiebreak winner $100, top Under 2300/Unr $1000-500. FIDE rated.
Under 2200: $1600-800-500-400-300, top U2000/Unr $500-250.
Under 1900: $1500-800-500-400-300, top U1700 (no unr) $400-200.
Under 1600: $1200-600-400-300-200, top U1400 (no unr) $300-150.
Under 1300: $1000-500-400-300-200, top U1100 (no unr) $250-125.
Under 1000: $400-200-150-100-75.
