Grand Prix des Pyramides de Port-Marly

The 2nd Grand Prix des Pyramides de Port-Marly – Trophée Kaissa is scheduled to take place on 21-22nd September at Les Pyramides de Port-Marly, 16 avenue de Saint-Germain, 78560 Le Port-Marly, France.

The event is organized by the Grand Echiquier – C.E. De Port-Marly and Jean-Claude Moingt.

The first competition will be the FIDE rated rapid tournament on 21st September. The tournament format is 9-round Swiss with the time control 15’+3”.

The total prize fund is 5,350 €.
Top eight prizes are 1,500 € / 1,000 € / 500 € / 400 € / 300 € / 200 € / 150 € / 100 €.

The entry fee is only 10 €.

The second competition will be invitational blitz time-odds on 22nd September. World Cup semi-finalist and reigning European Blitz Champion Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and 2012 European Vice-Champion Laurent Fressinet will participate.

There will be seven rounds and the starting time control is 7’+2”. For every 100-elo points difference, one minute will be taken from the stronger player and passed onto the lower-rated. The limit is 1’+2” vs 13’+2” for an elo difference of more than 600 points.
