Gukesh wins his 4th consecutive tournament in Spain closing to 2700 live rating

16-year-old Indian grandmaster Dommaraju Gukesh continues to shine achieving his fourth consecutive triumph on the soil of Spain. After the victories at the 1st Chessable Sunway Formentera Chess Festival 20221st Menorca Chess Open 2022, the 48th La Roda Open 2022, Gukesh today won the XIV Cerrado Ciudad de Gijo (scroll down for final rankings). Altogether with good performance at the Sharjah Chess Masters, Gukesh added a total of 48.2 ELO points to his rating and leaped to the second position of the live juniors rating list with 2693.6 live rating. Dommaraju Gukesh is the youngest Indian chess player to break into World Top 100 and he is only 6.4 points away from becoming the 6th Indian to cross 2700. Gukesh will in three weeks have his debut in the 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 playing the second board for the Indian B team
