Gull 3 won TCEC – Stage 1a, follow Stage 1b LIVE!

GullTCEC Season 7 – Stage 1a is over and 7 engines qualified for the second stage, while the rest are out of TCEC for the current season. The invincible Gull 3 was the revelation of Stage 1a. The engine stormed through the first phase of TCEC – Season 7 with the amazing 10,5/13 points.

Critter 1.6a took second place with 10 points, while Chiron 2 finished third with 9,5/13. You can see the full standings below.

Congratulations to Gull 3, Critter 1.6a, Chiron 2, Stockfish 160914, Protector 1.7, Hannibal 1.5×5 and Cheng4 for moving on to the next stage!

The second part of Stage 1 has just started and 14 new engines are in the pool. Nightmare 7.82a (2808), The Baron 3.36 (2638), Scorpio 2.77 (2754), Spark 1.1 (2749), Texel 1.05a7 (2916), Senpai 1 (2973), Naum 4.6 (3001), Arminius 090314 (2454), Crafty 24.1 (2466), Komodo 8 (3151), Exchess 7.31b (2670), Jonny 6 (2859), Junior 13.3 (2921), Houdini 4 (3145) will be vying in 13 rounds, with the same rules to apply as in TCEC – Stage 1a.

Komodo, the finalist of TCEC – Season 6, and Houdini 4 are the favorites, but let’s see if some other engine will follow in Gull’s footsteps… Follow Stage 1b LIVE at the official website
