Humpy Koneru convincing in FIDE Women Grand Prix Tashkent

Grandmaster Humpy Koneru drew Olga Girya in the last round of the FIDE Women Grand Prix in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for the convincing overall victory with 8,0/11 points.

Her closest rival Harika Dronavalli, also from India, was defeated by Zhao Xue.

Kateryna Lagno and Bela Khotenashvili used the opportunity to move ahead to the shared second place by scoring against Guliskhan Nakhbayeva and Antoaneta Stefanova respectively.

Local representative Nafisa Muminova concluded the event with a forfeit due to phone ring.
