Cuban IM Humberto Blanco obtained the highest honors at the ITT OAV Round Robin Metro de Caracas “Generalisimo Francisco de Miranda” that took place on 3rd – 7th April 2013 in the auditorium of the Venezuelan Olympic Commitee in Caracas.
Blanco, who comes from Las Tunas, got an undefeated performance in the competition valid for IM norms after obtaining 6.5 points after 4 victories and 5 draws.
Half a point behind the leader, in shared second place, finished Cuban IM Richard Leyva y NM Ariel Marichal. Leyva got second place on tie-breaks.
