International Chess Tournament dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the legendary World Champion Nona Gaprindashvili will take place from 21-30th April, 2016, at the Chess Palace, Kostava ave.37a in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The tournament is organized by the Ministry of Sport and Youth of Georgia, Tbilisi City Hall, Georgian Chess Federation and ACP.
There will be two sections: Open A for players rated over 2000 and Open B for players rated under 2000. Both groups will be completed over 9 rounds of Swiss system.
The total prize fund is 18,000 EUR, with EUR 3000+1000* (special ACP prize) reserved for the winner. The top woman will be awarded with 1500+300* EUR.
There are also special prizes for seniors and U20, U16 juniors and girls.
