International Tournament “Magistral Club de Ajedrez Philidor” in Argentina

The International Tournament “Magistral Club de Ajedrez Philidor” is being held on 15th-26th April at the Philidor Chess Club in Moron, Buenos Aires – Argentina.

It is a single round robin with 10 players from four different countries. The rating average of the participants is 2297. Three International Masters and two FIDE Masters are playing.

The time control used is 90 minutes for the whole game and 30 seconds increments from move 1.

Three Argentine IMs lead the field rating-wise: Ernesto Real de Azua, Cristian Dolezal and Lucas Liascovich. After four rounds, the surprising leader is the untitled Ivan Tomeo.
