GM Eduardo Iturrizaga won the 2012 edition of the strong tournament Dos Hermanas. Iturrizaga finished with 8,0/9, ahead of GM Ibrahim Khamrakulov 7,5/9.

Third place is for IM José Ibarra 7,0/9, who finished with the same points, but better tiebreak than GM James Plaskett, GM Josep López, GM Miguel Illescas, IM Olga Alexandrova (first place women), and FM Juan Gutiérrez.

In the 6,5/9 group finishers are GM Davorin Komljenovic, GM Bojan Kurajica, GM Daniel Cámpora, etc.
