Ivan Sokolov: I will no longer work at seminars or any actions at FIDE

Famous grandmaster and FIDE Senior Trainer Ivan Sokolov is one of the lecturers at the FIDE Training Seminar that is ongoing in Mamaia, Romania, concurrently with the FIDE World Youth U14, U16 and U18 Chess Championships. The seminar takes place from 7-12 September, in English language, with GM Ivan Sokolov and GM R.B. Ramesh as main instructors.

Ivan Sokolov, who coached the winning team of the 2022 Chess Olympiad – Uzbekistan, today announced that he will no longer work at seminars or any actions with FIDE. “I hope attendees to like (here in Mamaia) my last trainers seminar for FIDE. Due to poor management decisions, I will no longer work at seminars or any actions at FIDE“, wrote Sokolov on his social media accounts.
