Jersey will have a Women’s Team in the 44th Chess Olympiad 2022

The 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 will take place from 28th July – 10th August in Chennai, India, and 100 countries already registered for the event.

Two and a half months before the start of the event, Jersey officially confirmed they will have the Women’s Team in the upcoming Olympiad. This is a historical moment for the Channel Islands Women’s Chess as 2022 will be the first year Jersey sends a women’s team to Chess Olympiad.

Earlier this year, another Small Nation Chess Federation confirmed the first ever participation of their Women’s Team in the 2022 Chess Olympiad. Read more here
