Johannes Mabusela took first place at the Kruin Open

The Kruin Open Chess Tournament 2013 was held on Saturday April 20th at the Evangelies Gereformeerde Kerk located on 4 Sage Avenue, Annlin, PTA – South Africa.

The event was divided in six sections. The A Group was open to all players and was CHESSA rated.

IM Johannes Mabusela managed to confirm his status as favorite and won the event thanks to a better tiebreak score than Coenraad Marais, who obtained the same amount of points as the eventual champion.

Cornelis Hoek finished third.
