The 2015 Australian Open Chess Championship is underway in Castle Hill, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

The Open Section is organized from 2-11th January 2015 in an 11-round Swiss format.

GM Murtas Kazhgaleyev (Kazakhstan), GM Nua Ni (China) and IM Max Illingworth (Australia) head the field of 106 players with perfect 4/4 score. You can see the current standings and replay the games below.
