Levan Pantsulaia wins GM Grandiscacchi Chess Festival

The Italian Summer Chess Tour 2022 features six open tournaments taking place one after another from May 16 – June 11, with a total prize fund of 35.000e.

The tour kicked off with the GrandMaster Grandiscacchi Chess Festival GM/IM Mix norm tournament which took place from 16-20 May in Montebelluna. Georgian grandmaster Levan Pantsulaia won the event scoring 6/9 points. Top seeded Baadur Jobava tied for the second place with IM Eytan Rosen with 5.5 points, while GM Eltaj Safarli came fourth with 5 points.

The Italian Summer Chess Tour 2022 continues with the Grandiscacchi Challenge 2022, taking place from 21-27 May in Montebelluna and it will feature four sections: A (2300+), B (2000-2300), C (1700-2000) and D (U1700). All information about the tour can be found here.
