The US Chess Championship 2022 is taking place from 5-20 October at the Saint Louis Chess Club. Fourteen of the country’s strongest chess players battle for the national title and $60,000 in a classical round-robin event with Fabiano Caruana, Levon Aronian and Wesley So headlining the field which includes Hans Niemann as the 8th seed.
Both Levon Aronian and Wesley So are having a hard time at the 2022 US Chess Championship. Wesley scores 4/9 points and ties for the 9th place, and Levon ties for the 11th position with 3.5/9 points. The two members of the US National Team meet today in the 10th round and Aronian will take white pieces. Follow the game live:
