Liberty Bell Open 2015

The 47th Annual Liberty Bell Open will be held over the Martin Luther King weekend from January 16-19, 2015, at the Sonesta Hotel, 1800 Market St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The event has six sections: Open, Under 2100, Under 1900, Under 1700, Under 1500 and Under 1250.

The Open Section has either 4-day (January 16-19) or 3-day (January 17-19) schedules to play in while all other sections have either 4-day (January 16-19), 3-day (January 17-19) or 2-day (January 18-19) schedules to play in.

Last year the winner of the Open section was GM Alexander Fishbein

The event has a $20,000 prize fund, based on 320 paid entries, with 75% of each prize guaranteed.

In 2006 to 2014, the tournament had over 320 paid entries each year and the $20,000 projected prize fund was increased in proportion.

Open: $2000-1000-600-400-300, 1st clear or on tiebreak $100 bonus, top Under 2300/Unr $800-400. .
Under 2100: $1200-600-400-300-200.
Under 1900: $1200-600-400-300-200.
Under 1700: $1200-600-400-300-200.
Under 1500: $1000-600-400-300-200.
Under 1250: $700-500-300-200-100.
Unrated may enter any section, but may not win over $300 in U1250, $600 in U1500, or $900 U1700.
