Lüneburg Chess Tournament 2013

schachturnier_lueneburgThe Lüneburg Chess Festival is taking place on 15th – 23rd July at the 4-Star Hotel Seminar, Soltau Strasse 3, D-21335 Lüneburg, Germany. The large event consists of four strong tournaments.

The Open section is a 7-round Swiss tournament with a time control of 120 minutes for the first 40 moves plus 30 minutes to finish the game, without any increment. Top prizes in euros: 1000/ 600/ 500/ 300/ 200/ 100.

The seniors tournament is reserved for men over 60 years old and women over 50 years old. It is a 9 rounds Swiss open with a time control of 90 minutes for the first 40 moves plus 30 minutes to finish the game, without any increment. Top prizes in euros: 400/ 250/ 150/ 100/ 50.

The GM and IM tournaments are single round robins with ten players each. See full list of participants below.
