Magnus Carlsen on speculations about the World Championship Match format: “Fake news” #TweetOftheDay

Ian Nepomniachtchi won the 2022 FIDE Candidates Tournament, thus qualifying for the World Chess Championship Match. But it is still unknown whether Magnus Carlsen will accept to defend the World Champion title. Carlsen met with FIDE President and FIDE Director-General during the Candidates to discuss the format of the upcoming match, and the decision could be known by July 20. Russian Sport-Express today published the exact format of 3 sets with 4 games which Magnus supposedly demanded, but Carlsen said the news is fake.
