Malakhit, Ugra take gold at the Russian Team Chess Championships 2014

MalakhhitThe Russian Team Chess Championships for Men and Women took place in Loo, Russia from 7th to 13th April, 2014. The top seeded team of Malakhit took the gold medal with 12 points, leaving ShSM Moscow one point behind.

Malakhit consists of eight strong Grandmasters: Karjakin Sergey RUS (2772), Grischuk Alexander RUS (2777), Leko Peter HUN (2730), Shirov Alexei LAT (2702), Malakhov Vladimir RUS (2701), Motylev Alexander RUS (2685), Lysyj Igor RUS (2662), Bologan Viktor MDA (2649).

Ian Nepomniachtchi and Viktorija Cmilyte are the best first board players, while Alexander Grischuk has best overall performance in the tournament.
