Marija Rakic is 2015 Serbian Women’s Champion

WIM Marija Rakic justified her ranking as the top seed to win the 2015 Serbian Women’s Championship, claiming her second national title after 2012.

Rakic scored 6,5/9 points, leaving the three-times champion WGM Andjelija Stojanovic half a point behind. The decisive game occurred in the 7th round when Rakic defeated Stojanovic with black pieces.

The 2015 Serbian Women’s Championship was held from 18-26th April in Vrbas. The average elo of ten participants was 2168.
