The 3rd Women International Chess Tournament, Memorial of Krystyna Hołuj-Radzikowska, was held from 28th September to 6th October at the Chess Club KSz Polonia Wrocław, in Wrocław, Poland.
The tournament format was 10-player round robin. Draw offers were not allowed before move 40.
WGMs Nino Batsiashvili and Joanna Majdan-Gajewska clearly set apart from the rest of the field and were engaged in fearless battle for the top prize of 2800 EUR.
The two players finished on 6,5/9 points each, a ‘poltora’ points ahead of the nearest followers. Batsiashvili took the winner’s trophy on slightly better tie-break.

The tournament was organized by the Polish Chess Federation, Chess Club KSz Polonia Wrocław and Lower Silesian Chess Federation, under the auspices of the Lower Silesian Voivode Marek Aleksander Skorupa.
