Michael Adams is the sole leader of the English Chess Championship 2025. After four rounds the legendary Grandmaster Michael Adams continues with perfect 4,0/4. Along the way Adams defeated Lion Lebedev, Kai Hanache, FM Stanley Badacsonyi, and GM Gawain Maroroa Jones.

Half a point behind the leader are Shreyas Royal, Nikita Vitiugov, Matthew J Wadsworth, Peter T Roberson, John Merriman.
