Mogul Chessboxing Championship – Belenkaya vs Botez

American live streamer, YouTuber, esports commentator and competition Ludwig Anders Ahgren, known simply as Ludwig, announced the Mogul Chessboxing Championship this September. It will be a hybrid event where participants play alternating rounds of chess and boxing until one side wins either by checkmate or knockout. The event will take place on 11th December 2022.

The main event of the Championship features the chessboxing match between GM Aman Hambleton and IM Lawrence Trent, and Ludwig yesterday posted another match on the schedule: WGM Dina Belenkaya vs Andrea Botez. The undercards and smahboxing undercards matches include popular influencers and streamers: Myth, Boy Boy, Disguised Toast, PointCrow, Abroad in Japan, Papaplatte, Stanz, boxbox, Sardoche, Toph, Fiction, Kalindi, Joshman and Spud.

Dina Belenkaya posted a video of her preparation for the Chessboxing tournament tweeting that “the fight will be fair: Botez will be boxing with one hand only and I will play without queen and rooks”. See tweets below
