American live streamer, YouTuber, esports commentator and competition Ludwig Anders Ahgren, known simply as Ludwig, announced the Mogul Chessboxing Championship, a hybrid event where participants play alternating rounds of chess and boxing until one side wins either by checkmate or knockout.
The main event of the Championship features the chessboxing match between GM Aman Hambleton and IM Lawrence Trent, while the undercards and smahboxing undercards matches include popular influencers and streamers: Myth, Boy Boy, Disguised Toast, PointCrow, Abroad in Japan, Papaplatte, Stanz, boxbox, Sardoche, Toph, Fiction, Kalindi, Joshman and Spud.
The event will take place on 11 December in the Galen Center, Los Angeles, featuring 12 of the biggest Twitch and YouTube content creators who will fight in six matches along with two Smashboxing undercard matches.

Chessbrah manager GM Aman Hambleton announced lots of BTS training vlogs, while IM Lawrence Trent posted a video showing that he is already preparing for the event: “I am already at work, you better be soon“.
After winning the Julius Baer Generation Cup, World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen revealed he might be a commentator of the Mogul Chessboxing Championship: “It is a great spectacle! I’ve been invited by my good friend Ludwig to commentate and I hope to be able to do it“. Magnus added “Obviously when it comes to Lawrence, I know he is taking this super seriously and Aman as well, so it is gonna be a great fight“. World Chess Champion did not want to reveal who would be his ideal chessboxing opponent, leaving the viewers and commentators of the Julius Baer Generation Cup to speculate.
