The Moldovan National Chess Championships 2013 for men and women is taking place on 10-20 March at the Clubul Republican de Șah si Joc de Dame in Chisinau, Moldova.
Both championships will be single round-robin events with 12 qualified players. The FIDE regulations will be applied. The time control is 90 minutes for the whole game with 30 seconds increments from move 1.
The prizes will be distributed as follows: 1st place – 1 000 lei; 2nd place – 700 lei; 3rd place – 500 lei.
In the male competition, five titled players are competing. GM Vasile Sanduleac is the first seed.
