More than 200 kids taking part in Serbian Youth Chess Championship 2022

The 15th edition of the Serbian National Youth Chess Festival commenced today in Novi Sad with the Serbian Youth Rapid Chess Championship 2022.

The festival features rapid, blitz and classical chess events, taking place from April 26 – May 3. 186 kids compete in the rapid and blitz championships, and starting Wednesday is the main classical chess event expected to host more than 200 players. The main classical event is played over 9 rounds in the Swiss system with the participants divided in boys and girls groups, each divided further into six age categories: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18.
