Moscow Open 2013 with 113,000 USD in prizes

The Moscow Chess Federation and the Russian State Social University have reached an agreement on holding the RSSU International Chess Festival – Moscow Open 2013.

The 8th Festival will offer the same prize fund as the this year’s event – 3,5 million rubles or approximately 113,000 USD.

The Festival will include eight competitions: Russian Cup events for men and women, amateur, veteran, youth and problem solving tournaments, and two round-robin GM-norm events for young players.

Moscow Open is one of the largest chess festivals in the world in the term of number of participants with about 1500 players from 30 countries.
