Najdorf Chess Festival 2016

The 2016 Najdorf Chess Festival will take place from 8-16th July at the Warsaw Sports and Recreation Centre at ul.Polna 7a in Warsaw, Poland.

The Festival consists of four events:
Open A – Open for players with Elo>=2200
Open B – Open for players with Elo 1600-2199
Open C – Open for players with Elo < 1600 Open D – Tournament of chess prodigies (born 2006 and later) The tournament format in the Open A-B-C is Swiss system in 9 rounds with time control 90 min. for 40 moves + 30 min. for the rest of the game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1. The Festival is sponsored by MetLife and organized by Kazimierz Sosnkowski Chess Foundation, in co-operation with the Polish Chess Federation and ACP. Other co-organizers are Municipality of the Warsaw Central District, Warsaw Sports and Recreation Centre, Marshal's Office of the Mazovian Voivodeship. The total prize fund is 30,000 EUR.
