Negi, Robson and Fishbein lead the World Open after three rounds

The 41st Annual World Chess Open is taking place from June 29 to July 7, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Virginia.

The event has a $250,000 prize fund based on 1180 paid entries, with $175,000 guaranteed.

The main section counts among his participants strong GMs both from the United States and abroad. The huge first prize of 20.000 US dollars attracted a lot of players to Arlington.

The tight schedule and the huge amount of players create new challenges for the players. They will have to fight for first place in different circumstances to the ones seen in Europe. However, this is nicely compensated by the juicy cash prizes.

After three rounds, Indian Parimarjan Negi, together with young Americans Ray Robson and Alexander Fishbein are the only players that kept a perfect score, leading the standings.
