Magistral de Hebraica 2009

20-29th April, round robin of 9th FIDE category

The 6th Magistral de Hebraica is currently ongoing in Sao Paulo, Brasil. GM Alexandr Fier takes no break after claiming South America U20 Chess Championship and is top seeded player in this 9-games round robin tournament. Another local, GM Gilberto Milos, and guest from Israel, GM Alon Greenfeld, will present a tough challenge for the rest of the field seeking to fulfill Grandmaster norms.

Current Brazil chess champion IM Andre Diamant is also playing. The tournament is of 9th FIDE category, with average rating of 2464 elo points and concludes on 29th April.
