Kristiansund can be a chess experience of a lifetime

Arctic Securities Chess Stars Tournament with Anand, Carlsen, Polgar and Hammer

See the world champions in action – Visit Caroline Theater from Saturday, 28th August to Monday, 30th August, to watch Magnus Carlsen and Vishy Anand battling it out in the Arctic Securities Chess Stars Tournament.

First game starts at 14:30 and sale of tickets to the public from 13:30. It is already sold 250 in advance, so it is important to be here early! Two other star players are also included, namely Jon Ludvig Hammer, who has made a meteoric rise over the past year, and Judit Polgar, undoubtedly the world’s best female chess player.

On Sunday, the first game starts at 14:30, while the final and bronze final will start at 14:00 on Monday. The second match in the final on Monday starts at 15:40. It’s rapid-chess played over six games as double round robin where the players have 20 minutes each and 10 seconds extra per move. The matches will be shown on the big screen and one can also obtain analytical comments by International Master Torstein Bae in another room in the Caroline Cinema.
