12-players round robin, top seeded is GM Sergey Zhigalko

The 76th Belarusian Chess Championship is starting in Minsk on the 12th January. Twelve players will compete in an all-play-all tournament with 11 rounds, and the games will be relayed live on openchess.by.

IM Kiril Stupak and the untitled Evgeny Podolchenko started the campaign with wins in the round one, while the remaining four games finished in draws.
