First Prize € 100 + 4 other Chess prizes offered by “Le Due Torri”. Entrance is free.
Dear Chess friends, here we are at last at the second highlight of the year, after the World Championship match: The Chess Olympiad, that will be taking place in Khanty-Mansiysk, capital of Siberia, a Republic in the State of Russia. Much debating has already taken place around the sporting event and over the election of the FIDE president for the next term. We expect an exciting tournament as far as the chess goes, and we hope the Italian teams will be making a good showing (which is a realistic prospect at the moment), and, to enjoy the event even more… why not have a go at our Fantasy Chess competition!?
As fate would have it, this year’s Chess Olympics fall on the 5th anniversary of what is arguably the best and most exciting Chess blog in the world (alright, make it of Italy… : – P). To celebrate the occasion, Scacchierando offers a € 100 1st prize which will go to the overall winner of the competition. The other 4 prizes have been offered, as always, by “Le Due Torri” chess shop, who have agreed yet again to be our sponsors.
Please read the tournament Regulations carefully. You will notice that the registration procedure is a bit more complicated than usual and requires an extra step: this is to ensure that every player registers only one team for the competition. It makes the procedure longer and slightly more bothersome, but it is in place to guarantee that tournament regulations are respected!
Let’s get cracking then, register your team… and may the best man (or woman!) win! : – )
