Kamsky, Robson, Stripunsky and Kudrin share the first place
The Philadelphia Open 2010 with 125 players took place from 31st March to 4th April. GM Gata Kamsky and GM Alexander Stripunsky maintained the lead which they obtained after the 7th round, and following the draws against GM Ehlvest and GM Shabalov respectively, concluded the race with 7.0 points each.
But Ray Robson, America’s youngest Grandmaster, and experienced GM Sergey Kudrin both took the advantage of white pieces and won their last round games to reach the four-way tie on the first place.
15 Grandmasters and 13 International Masters participated in the tournament.
