Tigran Gharamian wins Pierre and Vacances open

The 24th Open Pierre & Vacances finished this weekend in France. The three groups included several hundred players, divided in 3 groups. Group A was won by GM Tigran Gharamian, who finished with 7,0/9, the same points as GM Malakhatko and GM Sengupta, but better tiebreak. Chessdom.com commentator GM Christian Bauer performed well and finished 5th in a group of players with 6,5/9.

The tournament, organized by Damir Levacic in Palais des Festivals as part of the International Games Festival, took place February 28th – March 7th. Here are the full standings.
