Castle Camp Scholarship

Emory University, Atlanta, June 12 – 19, 2011

The FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess is happy to inform that for the 2nd year the WOM has received the Castle Camp Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a top Latin America girl chessplayer and it will include all training expenses covered plus lodging and accommodation during the training.

The Castle Camp gets together students and experienced players that will be coached by Grandmasters and International Masters. The intensive training will take place on June 12th-19th at the Emory University, Atlanta, United States, and it includes coaching sessions, tournament play, evening fun activities and recreation time. The WOM will be announcing the selected girl in the following weeks. To become a candidate for this sponsorship please send an email to IM Martha Fierro, the requirements are:

– Girl from any Latin America country
– She should speak English
– Should have participated in international tournaments
– Be on the top junior list of her respective country
