Villa de Corria del Rio chess championship

GM Mizorev wins

Today in Sevilla finished the XIV edition of Villa de Corria del Rio chess championship. GM Azer Mirozev won it with 7,0/9, the same points as IM Teran Alvarez and GM Almeida, but with a better tiebreak. Six players shared second place, among which GM Campora and GM Pogorelov.

Six of the previous editions have been won by GM Oleg Korneev who this year did not participate. This gave a chance to GM Mirozev who walked away with 1200 eur for his first place.
