Rapid Match Kramnik-Navara Starting on Wednesday

This match is part of the CEZ Chess Trophy 2008

Vladimir Kramnik, former World Chess Champion (2000-2007) and 2nd rated player on FIDE ELO list as of April 2008, will play a match against the top Grandmaster of the Czech Republic, David Navara.

The match of 8 games in rapid chess will be the main event of the festival CEZ Chess Trophy 2008 and will take place in in Prague on 14-18th of May 2008. CEZ Chess Trophy 2008 is organised by The Prague Chess Society. “We are happy that Vladimir Kramnik agreed on the match against David Navara. All games will be broadcasted on the internet so that chess lovers in the whole world will be able to follow this great match,” said Pavel Matocha, chairman to The Prague Chess Society.
