GM Pia Camling

The XXXVIII Rilton Cup will take place 27.12.2008 – 05.01.2008 in Stockholm. It features 36 titled players from 14 countries. Top seeded is GM Yuriy Kuzubov, however, he will have strong contender for the title – last year’s winner GM Radoslaw Wojtaszek. The Polish GM was top seeded last year and is back for more action at Rilton Cup after serious success in 20-08 – he was Anand’s second for the match with Kramnik and later he became European rapid chess champion.

In the title dispute enters GM Pia Cramling as third seeded in the competition. Her compatriot GM Tiger Hillarp-Persson is also here. As in every big chess event, there is serious Russian GM presence featuring GM Ivanov, GM Gleizerov, and GM Ulibin.
