Ognjen Cvitan claims Golden Island Krk Open 2014

CvitanCroatian Grandmaster Ognjen Cvitan preserved the lead from the penultimate round and won the 2nd International Chess Tournament Golden Island Krk 2014 with 8/9 points.

The event took place at the Hotel Malin in Malinska, Island Krk, Croatia, on 6-12 April, 2014. It was a Swiss tournament, in 9 rounds, 90 minutes + 30 sec increment (from the beginning of the game).

The Israeli champion GM Tamir Nabaty remained second with 7.5/9, while the last year winner GM Vladislav Nevednichy from Romania took the bronze with 7/9.
