The leaders of the Oliver Gonzalez Memorial, FM David Anton and IM David Larino drew their game on the first board, which let GM Khamrakulov, IM Moreno and IM Almagro to catch up with them with their victories in the 7th round.
FM Angel Arribas held a suspicious position against GM Oleg Korneev and the two follow the leaders with 5.5 point out of 7 games. GM Herminio Herraiz, IM Santiago Roa, IM Jose Candela and FM Eduardo Garcia are also on 5.5 points.
