The Polish Prime Minister Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki congratulated GM Monika Socko on her triumph in the European Women’s Chess Championship 2022 during the opening ceremony of the Polish Team Chess Championship 2022 (Enea Polish Ekstraliga). Monika Socko clinched the title of European Women’s Individual Chess Champion for the first time in her career. With a score of 8.5/11 points, Socko was the sole Winner of the event.

The 2022 Polish Team Championship / Enea Polish Ekstraliga is taking place from 3-10 September in Bydgoszcz, Poland. It is a 10-team round-robin with each match being played on six boards, with teams required to play a female player on board 6. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1.
