16-year-old Indian chess star Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa has arrived in Serbia where he will play the 15th International Chess Festival Paracin. The event starts tomorrow and will be played from 8 – 16 July at the Pool Prestige Hotel in Paracin – a town located in the Pomoravlje District of central Serbia.
Praggnanandhaa will be the second seed in the very strong field of the open A tournament headlined by GM Alexandr Predke. The tournament gathers more than 150 players who will fight for the total prize fund of 5450 euros. 15th International Chess Festival Paracin – all information
This might be the last tournament for Pragg before the start of the 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 and his debut for the Indian National Team B. The Indian B team will be represented by young players (average age of 19) who lately made impressive performances at the chess open tournaments throughout Europe.
