The season 2011/12 starts with a special event. From 14th to 16th of October all 16 teams will play the first three rounds at one venue. This is the first time in the history of the Schachbundesliga. The host of the event is the club of SV Mülheim Nord. The team of North Rhine-Westphalia is known for his excellent playing conditions. The venue of the event will be the RWE sports hall.

16 Teams, 128 players, 192 games

The highest German chess league celebrates at this venue the start of the season 2011/12. The first round starts at 14th of October at 4pm. The second round will take place at 15th of October at 2pm and the third round at 16th of October at 10am. Attached you find the playing schedule for thr whole season.

All games will be covered live in the internet. You can follow the games via our Liveportal.

Supporting activities

Throughout all the three days there will be a live commentary at the venue. At each day the host will organize Blitz tournaments for the visitors. The highlight will be a simultaneous exhibition with Viktor Korchnoi. The living legend will play against 25 opponents at 15th of October. The entrance to this event will be free at all days!
