Leading off the 2022 Grand Chess Tour will be the Superbet Chess Classic held from 3-15 May in Bucharest, Romania.
Following last year’s popular classical framework, the Grand Chess Tour Romania 2022 hosts ten players competing in a classical round-robin struggle for the $350,000 in prize money. The novelty is that the Grand Chess Tour events becomes part of the World Championship cycle.
