Scottish Chess Championships 2015The 122nd Scottish Championship and International Open will take place at the Tom Fleming Centre in Stewart’s Melville College in Edinburgh on July 11-19, 2015.

The event will be a 9-round Swiss title norm opportunities. Play shall be governed by the 2014 FIDE Laws of Chess. Accelerated pairings will be used in the first three rounds.

Rate of Play: 40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 minutes with an additional 30 seconds with each move. All rounds start at 1pm each day.

Entry fees:

– (W)GMs, (W)IMs and (W)FMs Entry Free until 30 June
– Others £60 if by 30 April, £90 by 30 June, £100 thereafter.

Prizes:

1st £2000, 2nd £1000, 3rd £500, 4th £300, 5th £200
+£100 rating prizes
Scottish Titles Champion £750,
Senior 50 (aged 50 before 01/01/2016) £200,
Senior 65 (aged 65 before 01/01/2016) £200,
Junior £200 Boy/Girl £100 (01/01/1997 or after).

Scottish entrants to championship events must be members of Chess Scotland.
