Serbian Premier League for Men 2011

Serbian Premier League for men and women is taking place from 26th August to 6th September in Valjevo. Both competitions are played over 11 rounds according to Berger system.

The League is conflicting with the World Chess Cup but still a number of strong internationals have taken up the top boards. GM Arkadij Naiditsch joined the ranks of Vodovod Kragujevac, Sergei Rublevsky is leading the top seeded Novosadski SK DDOR, Viktor Laznicka replaces the injured Vladimir Akopian on the top board of Beograd Agrobanka, while GM Michael Roiz returns to the team of Sv Nikolaj and the site of his biggest tournament success.

Last year champions Smederevski SK were apparently one-time wonder as they didn’t send a team to defend the trophy. Basic lineups bellow.
