Stavanger Open NGP 2013 in parallel with Norway Chess 2013

Norway ChessStavanger Chess Club invites all Norwegian and international chess players to participate in Stavanger Open NGP 2013.

The tournament will be held in comfortable and suitable playing facilities at Scandic Stavanger Forus Hotel from Wednesday 8th of May to Sunday 12th of May.

Stavanger Open NGP 2013 will be played with one round on each day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and two rounds on Saturday, for a total of 6 rounds.

The playing schedule will be accommodated to the main tournament of Norway Chess, enabling the participants to watch and follow the games of Magnus Carlsen and the rest of the world elite live.

All participants in Stavanger Open will have free entrance to the main tournament of Norway Chess.

With a total prize fund of NOK 35.000 (approx. EUR 5.000) it is the ambition and goal of Stavanger Chess Club to host a lot of national as well as international chess players.

The address of Scandic Stavanger Forus Hotel is Bjødnabeen 2, 4033 Forus. The hotel is located at Forus, approx. 10 minutes’ drive from Stavanger Airport and roughly 5 minutes’ drive from Quality Residence Hotel in the city centre of Sandnes where most of the rounds in the main tournament of Norway Chess will be played.

From the hotel it is approximately 1 km walking distance to Gausel train station with frequent train departures and arrivals from Sandnes.
