Stockfish strikes back and takes the lead in TCEC Season 6 – Stage 3

The Stockfish chess engine is deserved leader

The winner of TCEC Season 6 – Stage 2 Stockfish 4, modification 080414, leads TCEC Season 6 – Stage 3 with 5.5/8. The engine outplayed Komodo, version 1217 in the eighth round (you can see the game below).

Stockfish strikes back, after losing the game against the reigning TCEC Grand Champion Komodo in the first round, playing the opposite side of the same opening.

Houdini 4 (3132) is also doing fine, defeating Gull A228 (3021) in the eighth round, thus joining Stockfish with 5.5/8.

Only the top 4 engines will move on to the next Stage of TCEC – Season 6 and it is getting more and more tense.
